Mandi town has a marathon race every year. It was started in 1841 by Sir Rowan Atkinson. Abhishek Malhotra has won the race for the last 5 years. In 2001, he set a record for the marathon by clocking 21 hrs 37 minutes 44.678 seconds to cover the 23 kilometres.
